Susanna Dekker - Biography

Born in Gouda, Netherlands, Susanna moved to Adelaide, Australia as a teenager where she continued her education as an all round performer.

At Actors Ink., an acting school in Adelaide, Australia, she quickly gained entry into the Elite Ensemble of Actors and also studied Musical Theatre honing her dancing and singing skills.

After being discovered by a hairdresser whilst waiting for the bus; Susanna started actively modeling for a variety of media. From Fold-Away-Crates, Centrelink to Bridal Catalogues and fashion and beauty imagery for magazines; Susanna has build an impressive portfolio of over 250 professional images! Aside from being a photographic model, she also has extensive experience as a promotional spokes model; which eventually saw her gaining the role as national spokes model for Ozquest Yamaha Superbikes.

After a variety of work as an actress in plays and short films such as Tacuna in "Time that Time Forgot" which was a finalist in Tropfest and the International Comedy Festival in 2006; Susanna's role as Jessica in the ultimate cult classic "Italian Spiderman" found her recognition worldwide.

After starting her presenting experience as a guest host for "Wrestla-Girl", Susanna won the role as the host of "Rundle Mall TV" mid 2010, and is also involved in guest hosting on Australia Live TV. She also hosts the promotional video for South Australia in the InterContinental Hotels, Greyhound buses and South Australian Cruises.

Whilst located in Sydney; Susanna studied Screen Acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA).

Of late, Susanna has been involved in a number of productions including "Riding Derrick" and has finished a supporting role in the upcoming film "I Rot". She has also just finished shooting a lead role as 'Wendy', in the controversial short "Black Diamond Heart", which focuses around the issue of euthanasia.

Susanna is shooting for the upcoming SBS national comedy TV series: "Danger 5".
