Suteara Vaughn - Biography

Suteara Vaughn is a Thai-American actress who was born in Chicago, Illinois. The name Suteara means very wise lady in Thai. Her mother and father were originally from Thailand, but moved to the United States where they met in Chicago and began their life together. When Suteara was three years old her family moved to Los Angeles, California, where she resided until her eight month stay in Bangkok, Thailand, where she was trained in MuayThai at The MuayThai Institute. From there, she has traveled all over the world, visiting Japan, Mexico and many states throughout North America. After her travels, she ended up back in LA, where she began pursuing her dream of becoming a professional actress with renewed vigor.

She has always been fascinated with the people on TV. As a little girl, she would watch "I Love Lucy", then go off singing and dancing all around the house. At one point she wanted to be like Mariah Carey, so at any chance she got, she'd perform her songs with a hairbrush in hand, in front of her family. During grade school, she was involved in tap, jazz, ballet and various intramural sports. She enjoyed athletics, but her true passion was for the stage, so she quickly transitioned to doing local musicals and school plays. She states that, "The art of performing, acting and singing has changed her life and inspired her to give her all to everything that she does. "

At the age of seventeen, she met a speech teacher who inspired her to get into acting. He was doing a television show at the time and he got her a position as the Director's assistant. Following this position, she received private acting lessons as compensation for her hard work. Soon after, she got cast in a play, began working with an improve group, started taking acting classes all over LA and ended up going on innumerable auditions which landed her several supporting roles.

As a classically trained pianist and singer, she has a great love of all music. With her eclectic musical style, she has written and recorded five songs, which were all inspired by her own life experiences. A few years ago, she hit a plateau where she had to choose between being a musical artist or a working actress and she chose the latter. In no time at all, this led to Suteara landing the principal role of Chloe in "Boys Before Friends".
