T.D. Jakes was born on June 9, 1957 in South Charleston, West Virginia, USA as Thomas Dexter Jakes II. He is a producer and actor, known for Woman Thou Art Loosed (2004), Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day (2012) and Get Ready: The Best of T.D. Jakes (2000). He has been married to Serita Jakes since 1981. They have five children.
