Tammie Baird - Biography

California native Tammie Baird is an established and experienced stuntwoman and actress who has dropped and rolled and tumbled and fought on television shows such as Dexter, Desperate Housewives, Sons of Anarchy and NCIS: Los Angeles and on films such as the Brad Pitt/ Angelina Jolie blockbuster, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." As a child, Baird's mother saw all young women, including her daughter, as "delicate and fragile" and made Baird quit gymnastics class after seeing her flip through the air during a performance. Being a rebellious teenager, Baird answered her mother's actions by sneaking off to ride dirt bikes and race cars in the hidden fields of Pleasanton, California. In later years, this teenage rebellion turned into a lifelong passion and a professional career as a Los Angeles based stuntwoman for television and film. Though very accommodating as a person, Baird loves to play tough characters who are "the bad guys." Her dream stunt involves a cannon roll. She's also happy to execute a simple trip and fall if that's what the director calls for on set. As a child, one of Baird's first influences was Selina Kyle better known as Cat Woman. Admittedly, not your typical role model; but then again, Baird is not your typical woman.
