Tara most recently produced and starred in the short film Muted opposite Chandra Wilson and Malcolm-Jamal Warner, which won the 2014 HBO Short Film Competition and begins airing on HBO in February 2015. Her first feature screenplay, Greta Krnic (KRR-NICH), was a Quarterfinalist for the Final Draft Big Break Contest. She was born in Croatia, grew up in Italy, and received her BA from the University of California, Berkeley on a full scholarship. She began working professionally as an actor while in college at the prestigious Aurora Theatre Company, voted "Best Theater Company in the Bay Area" by SF Weekly.
