Taryn was born in Vancouver, Canada where she was a competitive figure skater (and national medalist in Ice Dancing) until she was 16. She graduated from Duke University and is now a professional actress and writer with deep ties to the New Media community, where she produced two scifi webseries and acted in over 20.
In her 3rd season playing 'June Sanders' on Granite Flats (Netflix/BYUTV) - also known for her intense work in award winning digital series Compulsions, After Judgment and Black Box TV. Has 15 years of martial arts training. Known for her science and STEM advocacy work co-founding Scirens (Screen Sirens For Science). She writes scifi - her first full length digital series/ feature was for Stan Lee and her latest feature project was a contender for the Sloan Foundation/ Sundance Institute Fellowship. Her commercial credits may not be listed but she has been lucky enough to work with The Coen Bros., Barry Levinson and Michael Bay. She also blogs for Ms. in the Biz (published in their recent book) and on her own site where she likes to take deep dives into big topics.
