He has acted in several popular American movies, such as Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Le pianiste (2002), U-571 (2000), Entre les mains de l'ennemi (2004), etc. He has three children, Nicolas, Stella and Sascha with his ex-girlfriend Lena.
