Thushari Jayasekera - Biography

Thushari is an American actress of South Asian origin born in the delightful island of Sri Lanka situated in the Indian Ocean, and raised in beautiful Southern California, USA. She had a passion for the creative: performing and writing from an early age. She loves sketch comedy, stage, drama, improv, sitcoms, performance art, street theatre, and anything to do with the performing arts. She writes her own sketch, performance art and poetry pieces. She loves reading, watching films and listening to music:all types of music including Sinhala and Tamil cultural music. She is known for her good performance work, volunteering and for being outspoken. She has played supporting and leading roles on stage and independent film projects. Her breakthrough role on television is that of Pinky on NBC sitcom Outsourced.
