Timothy Davis - Biography

Timothy Davis was born in a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts, a mix of Irish, Greek, and Czech heritage. His mother was a cashier in a local drug store and his father a police officer. He has a brother, Kevin. While he was still a child the family relocated to Iowa.

Initially attending Iowa State University as a journalism major, Timothy fell in love with acting after a single class and changed his major, sprinting through the entire theatre curriculum in four semesters. After spending a summer doing theatre in nearby Chicago, he moved to New York City to study at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University.

After graduation, Timothy continued to work in theatre both in New York City and in regional theaters, even helping found The Cry Havoc Company, on which he served as a board member and contributing artist.

After appearing in Steven Soderberg's "The Girlfriend Experience" and an episode of "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," he finally decided that it was time to forgo the New York theatre scene and move to Los Angeles, where he was cast in the film "Tiger Hunter," returned to the stage in the critically acclaimed long-running production of "The Rainmaker" at the Edgemar Theatre, and started a production company, Sunday Ruckus, to develop feature films.
