Trish Doolan - Biography

A versatile, accomplished storyteller, Trish Doolan is an acclaimed screenwriter, playwright, director and actor. She wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film April's Shower, which was released last year by Regent Films and promptly won four best picture awards. The New York Times called April's Shower highly "enjoyable" and "refreshingly volatile" and The San Francisco Chronicle deemed it "expansive, talky and zany," and called Trish's storytelling "impressive."

Raised in Queens, New York, one of six children, her strong Italian family provided much of the inspiration for her first novel, Me & Five Guys. The Running with Scissors-like Me and Five Guys is loosely based on her experiences coming of age. Her second novel, The Singing Gardener, is a classic tale of forbidden love and the magic that occurs when we follow our hearts. Both novels will be adapted for the screen.

Trish started acting and modeling at the age of three, which led her to move to Los Angeles by the age of 19. She began making the rounds as a working actress in Hollywood, both in commercials, TV and film.

Trish just finished post- production on a pilot that she wrote and directed, The Bug in My Ear, Starring Tony Sirico as The Bug. Trish recently finished producing the pilot, Singled Out, which she stars in the role of Bri. Most recently, Trish with writing partner Robert Pullman penned the true story of the two time Oscar winner Al Kasha and his Tony Award winning brother, Larry Kasha. The play is in pre-production and heading to Broadway. "Two Boys From Brooklyn."

Trish's screenplay Dancing Fool is set to go into pre-production in the Fall. Trish signed on to Produce the feature Film "Kings of Life" Set in Poland.
