Tudor Munteanu - Biography

Born and raised in Bistrita, Transylvania, Romania. He discovered his passion for acting while in high school. He started acting in plays at the theater playhouse in his home town, worked as emcee host for public events and co-hosted a radio show targeted for teenage audience.

He then went to study acting at the National University of Theatre and Cinema, in Bucharest and earned his BFA in Performance Arts. He accumulated credits in Film (IMDb), TV (sit com), commercials as well as performed in theatre productions staged at the National Theatre of Bucharest, The Comedy Theatre, C.I. Nottara Theatre. He also engaged in improv theater - (Theatersports) and theater-dance performances. Waiting, a theater-dance project produced, directed and acted/danced together with four other actors, has earned him two awards: Best Choreography at The International Festival of Theatre of Casablanca, Morocco and Best Performance at The Young Actors Gala, Mangalia, Romania.

After completing a season as series regular in a sitcom, he used the compensation to finance his next career step: a plane ticket to New York and audition fees for acting programs. It paid off. After spending a year in the MFA program at Cal Arts (California Institute of the Arts), he decided to make the move to Los Angeles. He got accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Acting Conservatory and graduated with an Associate in Arts degree and the Charles Jehlinger Award for Best Actor.
