Veronica Osorio - Biography

Veronica Osorio is an actress, writer and comedian from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre New York and now Los Angeles. She was raised in Venezuelan by Italian-Venezuelan parents and now lives and works in Los Angeles and New York.

Veronica is known for her work in the Coen Bros upcoming feature Hail, Caesar! For her acclaimed web series parody Kate's Craft Corner and for several viral Internet sketches like Manic Pixie Prostitute and appearances in Frends Of The People and Comedy Bang! Bang! She's also written two one woman shows at UCB Theatre and has been a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade since 2009 as a sketch actress and improviser appearing in numerous live shows ever since. While in Venezuela she was the costar of the full-length film Taita Boves. Her performance in Taita Boves was critically acclaimed, the film won Official Pre-Selection at the Goya Awards and won Best International Film at the London Film Festival.

Born in Jacksonville, FL she moved to Caracas, Venezuela when she was one year old. While in Caracas, Veronica was a professional theater and circus actress and directed the Skena Theater Workshop for teens. Veronica is a member of Improvisto, the longest running improv show in Venezuela. She moved to New York in 2008, after having finished filming her first full-length film 'Taita Boves' becoming part of UCB Theatre six months later.

She has also written a musical play called "Los Fantasiosos De La Habitacion" with her writing partner Prakriti Maduro, this play had a 18 weeks run at El Champagnat Theater and was nominated to several awards.
