Vladimir Kulich was born in Prague and began his training at the State Theatre of Czechoslovakia. During the Soviet occupation his father, an advisor in the military arranged for his escape to Austria by bribing border guards. Arriving in Canada he was scouted by John Ferguson and became a professional hockey player for the New York Rangers farm team, also representing Canada at the 1977 World Sailing Championships. From 1981-1991 He owned a white water rafting company on the Chilliwack River in British Columbia known as 'The Raft Ranch'. He is known for his work in The Equalizer, Vikings, 13th Warrior, Smoking' Aces, Ironclad,The X Files, and as the voice of Ulfric Stormcloak in one of the most successful video games of all time, Skyrim-The Elder Scrolls. He has given memorable performances opposite academy award winners and nominees like Denzel Washington, Christopher Plummer, Max Von Sydow, Paul Giamatti, John Savage and Antonio Banderas.
