William Justice - Biography

William Justice was born in Birmingham, Alabama. The son of Craig and Lana Justice, he was raised in Dora, AL. William comes from a family containing a history of entertainment values. As the family always stated, his grandmother Dora had "a voice of gold." Many of William's cousins were piano players. His great uncle Mike enjoyed performing Broadway show tunes on piano, and William's great aunt Willie Mae was the virtuoso pianist/organist at the Dora Church of God.

William began taking piano lessons at age 6 and went on to win a variety of music competitions throughout the state of Alabama: Elbert Lingo competitions, sonata contests, and hymn festivals. William also won numerous awards while studying at Dora High School: The Encouragement Award, The Rick/Jilda Performing Arts Scholarship and Certificates of Honor in American Government, Psychology, and Economics. He was the sole winner of The Principal's Award for the Class of 2008. As the school singer and piano performer since 1st grade, as well as the Michael Jackson dancer during the high school pep-rallies, William won "Most Talented" of his senior class.

At one point, he was taking Tae Kwon Do classes while he advanced with his piano studies and eventually ranked 2nd degree black belt. In the Summer of 2008, William received a second performing arts scholarship to study at his local community college, Bevill State. On March 29, 2009, he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society of the Two-Year College. Less than a year later, on April 10, 2010, he received a Bevill Scholar Award for academic achievements. These two awards opened the opportunity for William to study at Birmingham-Southern College, a private liberal arts college where he received his BA in Music in 2013. While studying music, he took elective courses in acting. As soon as he graduated, William immediately began studying for his MFA in the two-year "Acting for Film" program at the New York Film Academy, a bi-coastal premier art school located in New York City and Burbank.

William studied acting professionally full-time in the 900-Hour Curriculum in New York City. While studying there, he lived on E. 52nd St and Lexington Avenue. The second year and final year of study began in the Fall of 2014 in Burbank. William resided at Oakwood Toluca Hills, a corporate complex known for housing celebrities. It is next door to Universal Studios, Warner Brothers Studios and in walking distance of the film academy.

Despite his many achievements as a piano performer, award winner, and academic superior throughout his young years, William had always had a passion for acting. He had had his eyes on the New York Film Academy since middle school and committed to pursue a course of study there as soon as he graduated from college in Alabama. In fact, back in 2011, to begin funding for his education outside the state of Alabama, he began teaching private piano and theory at his church, the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He taught for two years straight while continuing his studies at Birmingham-Southern. William has returned to Dora after graduating from the Burbank branch and is beginning to submit to talent agencies in the city of Atlanta. While submitting himself, William has resumed teaching private piano at his church
